Kenneth Cuccinelli

Ken Cuccinelli was first elected to the Virginia State Senate in an August 2002 special election. He represents the 37th District, encompassing the larger communities of Chantilly, Springfield, Burke and Centreville.

Mr. Cuccinelli is a patent attorney and partner in the law firm of Cuccinelli & Day, PLLC in Fairfax, where he specializes in business and intellectual property law. Mr. Cuccinelli also enjoys taking public interest and constitutional law cases.

Mr. Cuccinelli grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Fairfax County public schools throughout his childhood. He graduated from Gonzaga High School and was accepted to the University of Virginia where he earned his bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering. He went on to earn his juris doctorate from the George Mason University School of Law and Economics, and a Master's degree from George Mason University School of International Commerce and Policy.

In 1991, Mr. Cuccinelli married Teiro Davis, also of Northern Virginia. Mrs. Cuccinelli graduated from James Madison University. Mr. and Mrs. Cuccinelli have been blessed with five daughters and are very active in their community. They currently reside in Centreville and attend St. Andrews Catholic Church in Clifton.
