An internship beyond fetching coffee
An intern can't afford not to take it!
Each year, The Leadership Institute invites its very best Youth Leadership School graduates to join one of its intern classes held in the spring, summer, or fall. Recognized by many as the best conservative intern program in Washington, D.C., interns work directly with LI's professional staff in various divisions: Programs, Development, and Operations. Applicants should first attend LI's Youth Leadership School.
An internship at The Leadership Institute includes:
- Free housing
- A $550/month stipend
- Free tuition to all Leadership Institute schools and workshops during the internship and the following year
- Opportunities to network and develop public policy references
- A $200 book allowance to build your own conservative library
- Weekly private dinners and lunches with notable conservative leaders
- Special events, field trips, scavenger hunt in Washington, D.C., and tours of the U.S. Capitol, the White House and Mount Vernon
Intensive training, work experience, and the technical skills learned during the internship prepare Leadership Institute interns for successful careers in the public policy process.
